Calculate working days with weekends and public holidays

The Business Day Calculator compares calendar days with actual business days and can add or subtract workdays from a base date. Customize which weekdays are non-working days, include or exclude the end date, and subtract public holidays for supported countries. It is useful for project schedules, invoice terms, payroll windows, support SLAs, shipping estimates, and cross-border planning.

Does the calculator include the start and end dates?

The start date is included. You can choose whether the end date is included in the date-range calculation.

What counts as a business day?

By default, Monday through Friday are business days and Saturday/Sunday are weekends. You can customize the non-working weekdays and exclude country public holidays.

Can I use it for SLA or delivery planning?

Yes. It is designed for planning where you need to compare working days with calendar days. For contractual SLAs, confirm your policy's holiday country, regional holiday handling, and weekend rules.

Does the calculation run locally?

The date counting runs in your browser. When public holidays are enabled, the tool requests holiday lists by year and country from the RustPoint holiday endpoint.
